It had been a good year for Rival Fitness, and Christmas was only a month away. The owners of our gyms, a married couple in their thirties with 2 children, would shout us a little weekend getaway out of the city. They were supposed to join us, but thankfully, pulled out last minute. Then there were three. Myself, Nicole and Vanessa. I got on well with both the girls, although I was a little more fond of Vanessa. We each managed a gym in Victoria, so always had something to chat about. And we were about the same age, and single. It was the perfect setting really, to good to be true almost. A 2 hour roadtrip, an Airbnb for a night, plus free drinks thanks to the owners.
